2015 Nicky Winmar Carnival

The 2015 Nicky Winmar Carnival will be bigger than ever before with more than 300 participants expected and a minimum of 12 teams from throughout regional and metro WA.

The carnival will be played in a round robin format, with all teams lead by Aboriginal coaches and current and former AFL and WAFL role models.

South Fremantle will also use this opportunity to identify talented players from within our district, there will be opportunities there for those who show great skill and commitment to be involved in Warriors Development Squads across.

The carnival will also provide the opportunity to select players and coaches for U15 State Aboriginal Squad, which will compete at the KickStart National Championships in April 2015.

Nominations are now open to coach or play in the carnival which will take place at Bendigo Bank Stadium, Mandurah on Sunday 1 st March 2015.

South Fremantle will start training under the guidance of Aaron Hayden on Thursday 12 th February at Lakelands Reserve, South Lake Road from 4:00pm.

Want to play in the 2015 Nicky Winmar Carnival?

To be eligible to play in the carnival you must:

Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

Be born in 2000, 2001 or 2002*

*Players born in 2002 will need to make a special request to play in the carnival
