2025 FIXTURE HIGHLIGHTS

As we celebrate our 125th year, we are excited to honour everything that makes the South Fremantle Football Club special.

With a thrilling lineup of home games across both programs, we’ve highlighted the key fixtures that promise to be the biggest days of the year.

We have two matchdays featuring both our WAFL and WAFLW senior sides playing on the same day, 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible season for our Club.

Here are some of our marquee games for 2025:

WAFLW Round 1 – Derby

Saturday, March 29th | SFFC vs. EFFC

The season kicks off with our WAFLW opening round on Saturday, March 29th, as our women’s team takes the field for their first match of the year. This highly anticipated home game will see the Bulldogs take on archrivals East Fremantle in what promises to be a thrilling contest. It will also mark the debut of our newly recruited players and our Head Coach, Pia Falletti. Let’s pack the stands and show our support for an exciting start to the season!

WAFL Round 2 – Season Opener & 125-Year Celebration

Saturday, April 12th | SFFC vs. PTFC

Our WAFL home opener on Saturday, April 12th, will be a massive event, giving our team the chance to start strong in front of our loyal fans. Get ready for an electric atmosphere as we launch into the 2025 season! As part of our 125-year celebrations, we’ll be unveiling an exciting new merchandise piece and inviting all past players to join in the festivities. This match will also be our first SUPER SATURDAY, with both our senior men’s and women’s teams playing on the same day.

WAFL Round 8 – WA Day Derby

Monday, June 2nd | EFFC vs. SFFC (Away @ Fremantle Community Bank Oval)

One of the season’s biggest highlights will undoubtedly be our Derbies against East Fremantle. The first showdown takes place at Fremantle Community Bank Oval, hosted by East Fremantle. Though an “away” fixture, we encourage as many SFFC supporters as possible to come and back the Bulldogs in this historic rivalry match. Derbies are always a spectacle—don’t miss this one!

WAFL Round 13 & WAFLW Round 14 – NAIDOC Round

Saturday, July 5th | SFFC v CFC

We are proud to celebrate NAIDOC Round on Saturday, July 5th, with special fixtures for both our men’s and women’s teams.

Join us as we honor Indigenous culture and contributions to sport and beyond. A key highlight of this round will be the unveiling of our brand-new NAIDOC Guernsey, which will be worn by all teams on the day.

WAFL Round 17 – Derby #2

Saturday, August 2nd | SFFC vs. EFFC (Home Derby!)

Our second Derby of the year will be a HOME fixture for 2025! We look forward to igniting Fremantle and bringing football supporters from all over to witness another intense Derby battle. Lock it in your diary!

Fixture Changes:

• WAFL Round 4 vs. West Perth will now be played on Thursday, April 24th.
• WAFLW Round 4 vs. Claremont will now be played on Friday, April 18th.
• WAFLW Round 13 vs. East Perth will now be played on Friday, June 27th.
