Both Squads Training Arm in Arm

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

ON Saturday March 7, both South Fremantle Football Club’s Women’s and Men’s squads linked up for the first-ever joint WAFL training session in the club’s 120-year history.

The historical occasion had been in development since the women’s program officially joined South Fremantle Football Club in 2019 and it was great to see it come together. This official merger has brought a new aspect to our club culture that is exciting and vibrant, a huge success.

It was great to see players, coaches, board members, and executives all down at the club on Saturday to mark the moment. The theme of the morning was ‘Family’ and the Bulldogs family really came together on this one.
Our teams are looking strong, cohesive and seeing both programs in action, together, really cemented this for everyone. This year has started off brilliantly and we look forward to seeing what our players, Male and Female, can achieve in the next few months.

The 2020 season is certainly set to be our biggest year yet and we hope to continue making these massive steps in the right direction.

We would like to thank Michael Farnell from Sports Imagery Australia for capturing some brilliant moments from across the morning – all currently viewable by fans on the club’s Facebook page.

Haven’t signed on yet for 2020? Now is the perfect time. Simply head to https://shop.sffc.com.au/

Join up as a fully-fledged Bulldog and enjoy the benefits, in this our 120th celebration year.
