Bulldogs announce new Director

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

THE South Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce that it will have a new member of its Board of Directors for 2016, with Michael Hnatojko’s appointment confirmed.

Hnatojko has been co-opted onto the club’s Board of Directors and will take on the responsibility of the Finance and Special Projects Committee areas.

He is a new addition to the Board for 2016 joining President Haydn Raitt, Vice President Peter Christie, Treasurer Sal Capolingua, and fellow Directors David Strom, Gavin Jahn, Tim Reed, Rory Vassallo and Don Pasqua.

While Hnatojko currently is the finance and administration coordinator for the City of Armadale, he has a strong history in football having previously spent more than a decade with the West Australian Football Commission.

From March 2002 until October 2013, he was director of finance and administration for the WAFC. And from October 2013 until November 2014, he was general manager corporate governance for the commission.

Hnatojko has also had previous business and finance roles with the National Rugby League, the Western Reds, while also having a strong background working with commercial businesses prior to joining the WAFC.

With a strong financial and business background, community mindset and football interest, passion and involvement, Hnatojko is a welcome addition to the South Fremantle Football Club’s Board of Director as we head into a new era.

“I am extremely humbled to be asked to join the Board of one of the great Clubs in the WAFL,” Hnatojko said.

“I am looking forward to making a positive contribution to the success of the South Fremantle Football Club in 2016 by using my previous WAFC and community football experience.”

South Fremantle CEO Stuart Kemp is excited by the experience and expertise that Hnatojko brings to the club.

“Our organisation is very lucky to have a person of Michael’s experience, especially when it comes to football,” Kemp said.

“He has a vast knowledge on all issues that have made up WA footy in the last decade and will be a valuable asset to the Bulldogs, particularly with our special project portfolio.”
