LAUREN O’CONNOR TO LEAD ROGERS CUP

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

South Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren O’Connor as Head Coach of the Club’s Rogers Cup program.

O’Connor steps into the role after two seasons as an assistant coach within the program, where she has been instrumental in developing strong connections with players and supporting their progression through the female talent pathway.

She takes over from Brad Mazzuchelli, who will transition into a new Development role within South Fremantle’s WAFLW program. The Club thanks Brad for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the Rogers Cup group over the past two seasons and looks forward to his continued influence in developing young talent.

Manager of Female Football and Administration, Sean Pollard, said the appointment reflects both Lauren’s growth as a coach and the Club’s commitment to building from within.

Lauren has done a terrific job over the past two years, developing her craft and earning the respect of the playing group. She has a great ability to connect with our young athletes, excellent football knowledge and is well placed to lead the next generation of South Fremantle female footballers.

We’re thrilled to be able to offer her this crucial position and are glad to play a part in what we know will be a long coaching career for Lauren. We’re also excited to see Brad step into his new development role, where his experience will continue to benefit our WAFLW program.”

South Fremantle looks forward to a strong Rogers Cup campaign in 2026 under Lauren’s leadership.
