SOUTH FREMANTLE FOOTBALL CLUB ANNUAL REPORT 2020

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

IT turned out to be quite the eventful and memorable year in 2020 for the South Fremantle Football Club and it is all encapsulated in the Annual Report and Year Book replaced at the Annual General Meeting.

The club’s AGM for 2020 was held at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Monday December 8 where not only were the premierships won by the WAFL league and Rogers Cup Youth Girls teams, but an encouraging financial result was also revealed.

It is well documented the challenges that 2020 provided and that included the WAFL season being significantly shortened and not starting until July 18. But by the end of the year, the South Fremantle Football Club was delighted to announce a full-year cash profit result of $454,425.

That is a significant result and that is outlined in the club’s Annual Report and Year Book but that’s only the beginning of what is included.

The reports featured inside the document include those from President Peter Christie, CEO Cameron Britt, General Manager Football/Community Marty Atkins, Stephen Michael Foundation CEO Paul Mugambwa, Talent Manager Clayton Anderson and Past Players & Officials President Ray Van Burgel.

In terms of the focus to on the field, then there are also reports from senior coach Todd Curley, reserves coach Arthur Maskos, colts coach Larry Cavallo, WAFLW coach Beau McCormack, women’s reserves coach Mark Murphy, Youth Girls coach Adrian Ivancich, and captains Dylan Main and Lauren Vecchio.

There are also full details in terms of the results from all grades in 2020 that played and the players who took part across all six teams, along with a wrap of the fairest and best award winners in all grades.

There are special premiership features too from the triumphant WAFL league team and Youth Girls Rogers Cup teams in 2020.

There’s also a special look at all the triumphs of 2020, a feature on some of the special stories to come from the Grand Final success, the debutants from the season, the milestone men and how South Fremantle’s AFL products performed at the top level.

History isn’t forgotten either and the Annual Report still includes items such as all of South Fremantle’s Hall of Fame inductees, premiership players, club records, club history, centurions, life members, life time members and much more.

We hope you enjoy this publication that we take great in producing for our South Fremantle Family!
