Special NAIDOC Week edition of Whitey’s Whispers

THiS week’s edition of Whitey’s Whispers pays tribute to the Indigenous talent at the South Fremantle Football Club ahead of this Saturday’s clash to celebrate NAIDOC Week against Claremont at the Showground.

South Fremantle has a remarkable history of having some of the best Indigenous players ever run around in the mighty Red V jumper including Stephen Michael, Maurice Rioli, Peter, Phil and Wally Matera, Nicky Winmar, Benny VIgona, Basil Campbell, Jeff Farmer, Toby McGrath and Roger Hayden.

That tradition is continuing at the South Fremantle Football Club as well with Tim Kelly, Jacob Martinez, Kaiden Matera, Marlion Pickett, Bailey Matera, Traye Bennell and Dominic Warrell currently Indigenous players playing with the Bulldogs.
