WA State AFL Draft Combine this Sunday

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

SOUTH Fremantle trio Jimmy Miller, Tyson Pickett and Chad Pearson been invited to attend the WA State AFL Draft Combine this Sunday.

Miller is a key forward from Exmouth who had a standout colts season for the Bulldogs kicking 22 goals in 16 matches showing he is a strong contested mark, a good kick and can work hard leading up the ground as well.

Pickett, meanwhile, joined South Fremantle’s senior team in 2016 on the back of finishing last year in the colts to join older brother Marlion and Tyson quickly found his feet as a small forward who could have the occasional stint in the midfield.

The 18-year-old started the season in the reserves but once he broke into the league side he remained there to also play in all three finals. He ended up kicking seven goals at league level and showed some exciting signs.

Pearson completed his second season in the colts and he had a tremendous campaign for the Bulldogs. Following 15 colts matches in 2015, he played 20 games in 2016 averaging 14.6 possessions along the way.
