SOUTH Fremantle opened its WAFL pre-season campaign against reigning premiers Subiaco at Medibank Stadium on Friday night and despite the 30-point loss, there were plenty of encouraging signs for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs were playing their first game under new coach Todd Curley with the former Western Bulldogs, Collingwood and West Perth defender, and West Perth senior coach and Fremantle assistant coach having taken over the helm for the 2015 season and beyond.
Friday night was the first chance for Curley's men to test themselves against real opposition following a strong pre-season training performance, and it was an opportunity for recruits, senior players and young players alike to see where they sit three weeks out from the season opener.

As part of the 16’s Development Program the South Fremantle Warriors recently held an educational camp at Fremantle Oval.
Whilst it was a great opportunity for the final squad members to begin their understanding of the game plan, structures and set-ups that will help them perform on the field, the camp also focused on areas off the field we see critical in helping them achieve their dreams and aspirations as footballers.

SOUTH Fremantle chief executive Stuart Kemp likes the way the Bulldogs are shaping up on the field for 2015 while his focus off it remains on creating increased revenue streams for the club while determining the future of Fremantle Oval.
South Fremantle is gearing up for the 2015 WAFL season under new league coach Todd Curley and with the returns to the club of Cory Dell'Olio, Adam Carter, Kyle Hams and Sam Lowrie, and recruitment of Blayne Wilson on top of a playing group that has stuck together, there is every reason for optimism about what the Bulldogs can do on the field.
Kemp is confident that the football side of things at the Bulldogs is on track under Curley as league coach and with a new football operations manager in David Depane and player development manager Jason Pedulla.

TODD Curley's focus since taking over as South Fremantle coach ahead of the 2015 WAFL season has been on bringing together a talented playing group ensuring they all have a shared vision that they believe in to lead to a hopeful return to finals action for the first time since 2011.
Curley arrives at Fremantle Oval as senior coach of South Fremantle with the playing group coming off a run the last three years where at times they have shown what they are capable of, but the consistency hasn’t been there for them to at least make a finals appearance.
However, again the Bulldogs finished off the 2014 season in strong fashion to build hope that things were heading towards a positive outcome in 2015 and now Curley takes over as coach to try and steer the playing group in that direction.

NEW South Fremantle coach Todd Curley is settling in well ahead of his first season in charge of the Bulldogs and is happy with what the club has put together both on and off the field in preparation for 2015.
Prior to accepting the role as senior coach at South Fremantle for at least the next two seasons, Curley had never previously been involved in any other WAFL club than West Perth where he was a dual premiership player, captain and had his first taste of being a coach.
After coaching West Perth between 2006-08 following his decorated playing career not only with West Perth in the WAFL but also Collingwood and most notably the Western Bulldogs in the AFL, Curley was an assistant coach at Fremantle between 2009 and the start of 2012 before taking his first break from the game in over 20 years.
