WAFLW | Bulldogs Finals Bound

After a season built on hard work, resilience and belief, South Fremantle has officially secured its place in the 2026 ATCO WAFLW Finals Series.

The Bulldogs will face East Fremantle this Sunday in an Elimination Final at The Good Grocer Park.

This marks just the second finals appearance in the club’s WAFLW history and is a significant milestone for everyone involved in our women’s program.

From the players who have proudly represented the red and white each week, to the coaches, medical staff, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes, this achievement reflects the commitment and dedication of the entire group.

After splitting the two Derby clashes during the home-and-away season, the Bulldogs and Sharks are set for a winner-takes-all battle this weekend.

Vice-Captain Charlie Vandenberg said qualifying for finals was a reward for the group’s hard work, but the focus now shifts to making the most of the opportunity.

“It’s a privilege to make finals, but once you’re there it’s a whole new level of intensity and pressure. Reflecting on the groups development across the past two seasons, we feel we have earned our place and deserve this opportunity to showcase our best brand of football,” Vandenberg said.

“It’s extremely exciting to be playing our cross-town rivals. We’ve won one each this season, so it’s set up to be a great contest.”
