ISIAH WINDER TAKES OUT 2024 WJ HUGHES MEDAL

A memorable night for all, and an unforgettable one for Isiah Winder, etching his name into the South Fremantle Football Club history books and claiming his first WJ Hughes Medal.

After a stellar first season as a Mighty Bulldog, Winder polled a total of 102 votes to secure the win. Winder earnt his glory averaging 25.4 disposals per game and kicking a total of 16 goals.

Winder has proven to be a handy pick-up to our South Fremantle League side, after his time on the West Coast Eagles list. The mid-size half-forward danced his way through traffic, whilst being involved in many score assists.

With 90 votes, Chad Pearson was a worthy recipient of the N Macdonald Trophy as this year’s Runner-Up Fairest and Best after a consistent year.

The ever-reliable Haiden Schloithe followed in third place, with 88 votes.  Lewis Rayson and Matthew Parker both polled 61 votes, to tie for fourth.

Glenn Byron finished in sixth place with 49 votes. 45 votes and seventh place went to the 2024 Leading Goalkicker and John Gerovich Trophy winner, Zac Strom.

Head of Football, Charlie Burke, presented South Fremantle’s longest-serving League Coach Todd Curley a gift of appreciation, with his time leading the Bulldogs coming to an end.

Congratulations was in order for Lewis Rayson, receiving the Shearer Family Trophy for Best First-Year Player. Robbie Turnbull was recognised for his ongoing contributions to the Women’s Program, receiving the Best Clubman Award, the Warren Medal .
