CLUB STATEMENT – CLUB PATRON

South Fremantle Football Club acknowledges Rory Vassallo’s decision to step aside from his role as Club Patron.

Rory has been a long-standing and deeply valued contributor to South Fremantle, having supported the Club over many years as a Sponsor, Board Member and Trustee.

The Club acknowledges and sincerely thanks Rory for his ongoing commitment and contribution.

The Club confirms that it has supported Rory throughout this period and respects his decision.

Rory said he appreciated the way the matter had been handled across the Club.

“I’ve appreciated the opportunity for open and respectful dialogue across all parts of the Club, including our playing groups, and I’m grateful for the maturity and care shown throughout,”

“With the season about to commence, and in the best interests of ensuring the Club can focus fully on the year ahead without unnecessary distraction, I have made the decision to step aside as Patron” he said.

Rory will continue to support South Fremantle Football Club and remains a valued member of the Club community.

The Club reiterates its commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all players, staff, and members, and looks forward to the season ahead.
