HALL OF FAME CELEBRATES OUR VERY BEST

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

ON Saturday August 14 the South Fremantle Football Club held its third Hall of Fame event in the Club’s history.

Over 200 guests attended the signature event, in a black-tie format held in the South Fremantle Football Club’s Griff John Function Room.

This third intake saw eight new inductees and two Legends celebrated, representing up to and including the early 2000s, with a particular focus on the 1990s.

In 2011, the South Fremantle Football Club held the inaugural induction of thirty-five players and ten administrators and officials into its Hall of Fame.

That induction covered the years from the foundation of the club in 1900 up to and including the 1980 season.

The second intake of inductees in 2015 broadened that first list to include those players, coaches, administrators and officials who made an overall contribution and a significant impact up to and including the 1987 season.

Congratutations to the 2021 Inductees –
Marty Atkins
Brad Bootsma
Tom Bottrell
Sir Ross Hutchinson (represented by his son, Ross Junior)
Toby McGrath
John Porter
Peter Sumich
Peter Worsfold

Legends
Brian Ciccotosto – Elevated to Legend Status
Tony Parentich – Elevated to Legend Status

The 2021 Selection Committee comprised of Jim Christie, Richard Woodgate, John Todd, Brian Ciccotosto, Murray MacDonald, Peter Dougan and Club President Peter Christie.

To all inductees and Legends, congratulations on a remarkable achievement!
