SF Warriors 14’s & 15’s

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

The SF Warriors 14s and 15s teams commence their carnival next week.

This is a great showcase for the emerging young talent in our district. Over the last few months. The boys have been training hard and now get their chance to test their skills on the field against the best the other WAFL clubs have to offer.

The carnival is all about the development of these young men , and not so much about winning and losing. It gives the boys a fantastic opportunity to don the SF jumper for the first of what hopefully for them will be many times. Our philosophy for the carnival is to use to develop the boys in all facets of the game , play them in different positions and most of all enjoy the experience.

The boys recently attended their jumper presentation evening and were lucky enough to hear some wise words passed on to them from 2014 league player Ben Sokol. Ben is a product of the SF Warriors and commenced for him some year ago at this very carnival. The boys were also given a tour of Fremantle Oval , with the coaches highlighting many landmarks along the way , including the George Grljusich Media Box , John Gerovich Statue and the Victoria Pavilion. As part of the program the boys are requested to do their research on these landmarks as we endeavour to teach them about the history of the club.

If you need your footy fix and would like to see some of the tremendous talent we have coming through , we would love to see you down supporting the boys during their carnival.
