VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

The South Fremantle Football Club recognises the great contributions our clubs and club volunteers make within our Metro and Country zones. Football clubs simply don’t exist without the countless hours put in by volunteers – from coaches and team managers to board members, canteen staff, and so many others working behind the scenes.

The Volunteer of the Month program is our way of shining a light on those individuals who go above and beyond in their roles within community football clubs aligned with SFFC.

This month, we are proud to recognise an outstanding contributor whose dedication has proven positive amongst his local football community.

May Volunteer of the Month: Dan Ianello – Hammond Park Football Club

Congratulations to Dan Ianello, President of Hammond Park Football Club, who has been recognised as the May Volunteer of the Month.

Dan is described as “workhorse” and a deserving recipient of this recognition, having received multiple nominations from members of the football community. His dedication, passion and tireless commitment to the club have helped create a positive, inclusive and family-friendly environment where players, coaches, volunteers and supporters can thrive.

Whether it’s overseeing club operations, supporting volunteers, helping on game day or ensuring families feel welcome, he consistently goes above and beyond to make the club a great place to be.

Dan is one of the thousands of volunteers across our zone who dedicate countless hours to providing exceptional experiences for footballers of all ages and skill levels. Their efforts often go unseen, but they are the backbone of community football and play a vital role in keeping our game strong.

Thank you, Dan, for everything you do for Hammond Park and the wider football community, and congratulations on being named our May Volunteer of the Month. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and truly deserving of this recognition.
