Bulldogs to take on grand finalists in pre-season

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

SOUTH Fremantle’s preparations for the 2015 McDonald’s WAFL Premiership season will include pre-season matches against reigning premiers Subiaco and last year’s runners-up East Perth.

The Bulldogs’ first pre-season game will take place at Leederville’s Medibank Stadium up against reigning WAFL premiers Subiaco.

It will be a good way for new league coach Todd Curley to gauge the Bulldogs’ progress over the pre-season up against the team that won the 2014 grand final in style over East Perth.

The league pre-season fixture will begin at 7.15pm at the Leederville venue following on from the reserves clash that bounces down at 5.15pm.

The following weekend might not see South Fremantle take on an official opponent, but there won’t be any taking it easy with the Bulldogs players to take part in an intra-club match at 5.45pm at Fremantle Oval on Friday March 6.

Then the final week of the pre-season fixtures will see South Fremantle take on the losing grand finalists of the last two WAFL seasons, East Perth.

The league game will take place on Friday March 13 at Fremantle Oval with bounce down set for 7.30pm.

That follows up from the reserves game that begins at 5.15pm while the next day, the colts play off against one another at 4.30pm and then the 16s development squads will play at 6.30pm.

That all leads up to the 2015 McDonald’s WAFL Premiership season that sees South Fremantle’s campa=ign begin on Friday March 20 against West Perth under lights at Fremantle Oval.
