2021 AGM NOTICE

ADVICE OF 2021 AGM

Members are advised that the 2021 Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 6 December 2021, commencing at 6pm at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Matters for consideration include: confirming the minutes of the 2020 AGM; receiving and considering the 2021 Annual Report, financial statements and Auditor’s Report; appointment of Auditors’; confirming the election of Life and Lifetime members, and the election of Board members.




A Special Resolution will be put to Members to vote on updates to the Constitution. The updates are to ensure the Constitution meets the future needs of SFFC and comply with best practice governance standards.

In accordance with the Club Constitution, nominations are hereby called for the following:

Directors – 2-year term (three positions)

The retiring persons are:

  • Rory Vassallo (Treasurer) – retiring, not nominating for re-election
  • Gavin Jahn (Vice President) – retired, not nominating for re-election
  • Bruce Willis (eligible for re-election)

To complement the current board and support the objectives of the Club, nominees should possess subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: advocacy; finance and accounting; marketing and media (including social media); football and business industry experience.

Nominees should be prepared to commit between 15 and 30 hours per month to Board duties (excluding home and away game day attendance), which will include membership of and chairing a sub-committee. An extract from the Board’s Governance Charter outlining the role of directors and Code of Conduct is provided below. The full Charter is available for review by request to the CEO.

Nomination forms can be obtained from the SFFC office, by emailing admin@sffc.com.au or telephoning 9335 1555.

Nominees must be a current financial member and should include a brief summary of their background which will be posted on the club website. Nominations must be on the approved form, signed by two members eligible to vote as proposer and seconder, and signed in acceptance by the nominee.

The names and profiles of nominees, plus the names of proposers and seconders will be posted on the SFFC website until the date of the AGM.

Nominations close at 5pm, Monday 15 November 2021.
