2022 BALL LEGEND | JON DOROTICH

We are pleased to announce Jon Dorotich as our 2022 WAFL Ball Legend.

“Doro”, as he’s well-known to so many, enjoyed a distinguished WAFL and VFL (AFL) career with South Fremantle and Carlton respectively, winning Premierships with both clubs.

Doro’s football CV is extensive and incredibly impressive, making him a natural choice to be honoured as a great of the Bulldogs.

With 2022 being the Club’s 25 ^th anniversary of the famous 1997 Premiership victory, in which Doro was Co-Captain, it is further fitting tribute.

Just a sample of his many South Fremantle career highlights include:

• 9x years playing service (1981-1985 & 1994-1997)
• 151 games & 459 goals
• SFFC Hall of Fame 2015
• SFFC Life Membership 1996
• SFFC Premiership 1997
• 6x State Representative
• Simpson Medal 1997
• WAFL Bernie Naylor Medallist 1996 & 1997

Doro’s memories and stories about his Souths career, plus the halcyon days of playing VFL for Carlton against powerhouse 1980’s sides such as Hawthorn and Essendon, are fascinating and highly entertaining!
