A Message from the CEO

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

Dear Bulldogs family,

I wish to advise that I’ve accepted a role with the West Australian Football Commission in a Senior Executive position.

The role (Executive Manager – Country Football and Facilities) is a wonderful opportunity to follow a pathway within sports administration, overseeing the 25 WA Country Football Leagues along with the state wide Venues Facilities Strategy, and is part of the WAFC Executive team.

Whilst it was a somewhat difficult decision, as I’m in a role that I love, in an organisation that has been a massive part of my family since 1951, it provides a great opportunity. Hopefully this step can commence a genuine pathway for WAFL administrators, just as there is for players, coaches and umpires.

We are in the middle of a very busy period off field, along with a strong season-to-date by our men’s league side and both the senior & youth female teams, so my final day on Friday July 27 will come around quickly. I want to thank the South Fremantle Football Club Board for allowing me to lead an organisation that I am forever tied to and we will begin the process for a new CEO as quickly as possible.

Thanks again for your support of the Bulldogs and I’m sure I’ll see you at many games into the future.

Kind Regards
Tom Bottrell
