CEO UPDATE: CELEBRATING 125 YEARS

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

To our valued members, partners and stakeholders,

As 2025 begins to unfold, I’m excited to share more details about some of the significant activities we have planned for our ‘125’ celebrations here at the South Fremantle Football Club.

With such a rich and storied history, it’s vital that we continue to honour and reflect on the many significant moments, people, and triumphs of the Mighty Bulldogs.

We have recently launched our ‘Red & White Archives’ project, where we’ll be regularly sharing fascinating and insightful excerpts from our two exceptional history books. Stay tuned for a closer look at this great Club’s remarkable journey!

HERITAGE GUERNSEY

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of a special tribute guernsey for the 2025 season, set to be worn by both our WAFL and WAFLW senior footballers on Saturday, April 12, during a back-to-back fixture.

The heritage design of the guernsey pays homage to our Club’s origins, incorporating the names of all 1,708 individuals who have played League football for South Fremantle in both the WAFL and WAFLW since 1900.

This unique, souvenir guernsey will also be available for pre-order, and we believe it will be especially meaningful for those whose names are featured, or for fans with loved ones listed!

It’s an exciting project, and we can’t wait to share more details with you soon.

125-YEAR GALA BALL

We’re set to celebrate 125 years of South Fremantle with an unforgettable black-tie Gala Ball at the ground. Expect an evening filled with live entertainment, special guests, a three-course meal, and premium drinks, all leading up to some exciting announcements.

Be sure to “SAVE THE DATE” – Saturday, July 26.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be asking our fans to vote for the ‘Greatest Moments in Club History.’ A shortlist will be published online, and we encourage everyone to get involved and share what makes the Bulldogs truly great!

During the evening, we’ll reveal the Top 5 Moments since 1900, as voted by our community. It promises to be an incredible night, full of celebration and fun.

2025 MEMBERSHIP | MARK OUR TERRITORY

Our membership campaign is in full-swing, and we’re tracking well as we aim to reach 3,500 members. However, just like on the field, success is a team effort – and we’d greatly appreciate your support.

We’d love for you to join up and/or encourage others to do the same. Every new member helps us build a stronger, more connected community!

It’s a very simple request: “Sign-up at South in our Celebration Year”.

Footy is just around the corner, and the excitement is building quickly.
We have some ambitious goals for 2025, and we’re ready to make an impact in so many ways.

We look forward to sharing this celebration year with you all.
Go Bulldogs
