COLTS LEADERSHIP SQUAD ANNOUNCED

Last Thursday, the Club hosted a combined event for the Colts Jumper Presentation and Seniors Rd 1 Team Announcement.

We welcomed our entire Colts squad of 54 players, plus 14 rookies and train ons to be presented their Jumpers on stage. The players either nominated a family member, friend, or coach to present them their jumper for the 2023 Season

The rookie squad consists of players who are first-year Colts, that didn’t make the initial squad of 45 but have been invited to continue to train with the main group with the goal of being selected later in the season.

The Colts leadership group was also announced on the evening, with Ruben Hawksley being named captain and Ashton Ferreira and Jordan Douglas named vice-captains. Jacob Whan, Liam Piper, and Aidan McGovern were also named in the leadership group of 6.

Once the Colts leadership group was announced, League head coach Todd Curley said a few words and congratulated the 5 league debutants in Rd 1. These were Jordan Gallucci, Solomon James, Chase Bourne, Kaden Harbour, and Mac Nield.

It was great to be able to hold a jumper presentation and to properly welcome this group of Colts into the Club this year, with covid not allowing a presentation night in 2022.

Thanks to all the parents and coaches for attending and to Club President Peter Christie for the support on the night.  It was a great evening at the Club, catered by Bennys and we look forward to doing it again next season.
