The South Fremantle Football Club appoints Craig White as Senior Men’s League Coach

The South Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig White as the new Senior Men’s League Coach on a two-year contract.

Craig White is a true South Fremantle man, born and bred within our Upper Great Southern zone from the farming town of Williams. His connection to the club runs deep, having come through the ranks of all three grades – Colts, Reserves, and League – with the Bulldogs.

A Life Member of the club, Craig played an impressive 192 league games for South Fremantle from 2004 to 2015, during which he won two League Premierships in 2005 and 2009. His leadership qualities were recognised early, being named Vice-Captain of the League side and frequently stepping up as acting captain in place of Jamie Graham during his extended injury absence. Craig’s achievements also include winning a Reserves Premiership in 2004 and a Colts Premiership in 2003.

Since retiring from the WAFL, Craig has continued his football journey with notable success. He captained and coached the Balmain Dockers in the Sydney Football League to a grand final and later served as an Assistant Coach at the Claremont Football Club under the tutelage of WAFL premiership coach Darren Harris.

More recently, Craig has demonstrated his coaching prowess with Curtin Uni Wesley in the Perth Football League, where he has been at the helm from 2019 to 2024. In his debut season as coach, Craig led the team in an undefeated season, securing the B Grade Premiership and earning promotion back into A Grade. Over the following five seasons, he guided the team to three Toyota A Grade Men’s Grand Finals, culminating in a Premiership and the prestigious Sandover Shield in 2023.

Additionally, Craig has coached the PFL Men’s State team for the past two seasons, achieving a rare and remarkable victory over Victoria in 2024 in Perth.

Craig White’s deep connection to South Fremantle, combined with his impressive coaching record and leadership qualities, makes him an ideal fit to lead the Bulldogs into the future. We look forward to seeing the impact he will have on our senior team over the next two seasons.
