Fixture changes hand Bulldogs ANZAC Day, Good Friday home games

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

THERE has been some late changes made to the fixtures for the 2017 McDonald’s WAFL Premiership Season that has led to some exciting news for South Fremantle.

The WAFL season will still get underway at Fremantle Community Bank Oval against Subiaco on Saturday March 18, but there are several changes to the fixtures that are sure to prove good news for Bulldogs fans.

The first change to the South Fremantle fixture concerns the Easter Weekend clash with Claremont.

That will now take place at Fremantle Community Bank Oval and will be held on Good Friday at the port with bouncedown locked in for 4.15pm.

As a result of that game moving, South Fremantle now will take on Claremont at the redeveloped Claremont Oval in Round 21.

The next change surrounds the ANZAC Derby for 2017. Previously scheduled for the Saturday, the clash has been moved to April 25 to be actually played on ANZAC Day.

South Fremantle will host East Fremantle in the clash on the Tuesday to commemorate the occasion at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. Bouncedown in the league clash will be at 4.15pm.

The other fixture amendment concerns the Round 18 clash against East Perth on Saturday July 22. That is now a country fixture with the Royals and Bulldogs to lock horns in the picturesque south-west town of Busselton.
