GERRY BAHEN CLASSIC 2022

The annual Gerry Bahen Classic was held last Friday 9th of December at the 2022 Christmas Party where we celebrated our achievements from the season, and what a fantastic night it was!

Many of our wonderful members and supporters of the Club came to this special night at Fremantle Oval, enjoying a delicious buffet meal catered by our hospitality Benny’s.

In an event  frst, we incorporated Male and Female athletes, and the players were in great form leading up to the race heats, but there could only be one standout winner in the Male & Female finals.
Riley Colbourne took out 1st Place in the Gerry Bahen Classic Men’s Race, followed by Tom Blechynden 2nd and Solomon James 3rd.

It was sensational to create Club history and have our WAFLW players involved in the Gerry Bahen Classic, and we look forward to their annual appearance ongoing.

In the Women’s final, Heidi Hughes claimed 1st Place, with Tahleah Mudler running a close 2nd and Tanika Bradley 3rd.

Our special thanks to all members of the Bahen Family along with all attendees of the event!
It was a wonderful night filled with Souths Families and we already look forward to next year.
