NATHAN BURKE  – WAFLW LEADERSHIP CONSULTANT

We are thrilled to welcome Nathan Burke to the Bulldogs as our WAFLW Leadership Consultant.

Burke boasts an extraordinary playing career in the AFL, having been a one-club player with St Kilda from 1987 to 2003. Renowned for his toughness, leadership, and versatility, Burke played an impressive 323 games and kicked 124 goals during his time on the field.

Following his retirement, Burke transitioned into coaching. Most recently, he served as the Head Coach of the Western Bulldogs’ AFLW team from 2020 to 2023. Under his guidance, the team made significant strides, including a remarkable finals appearance in the seventh AFLW season.

This week, Nathan joined our female program in person to help shape the foundation of our emerging culture and values. He spent invaluable time with our playing group, leaders, and coaches, sharing his wealth of experience in both football and life.

Having someone of Nathan “Burkey” Burke’s calibre available to our players and staff throughout the upcoming season is an incredible asset.
