REINFORCEMENTS TOUCH DOWN

We are excited to welcome new recruit Lachlan Taylor along with the return of 2021 Souths standout Blake Schlensog for our 2022 Campaign.

Taylor joins the Bulldogs from the famous St Mary’s Football Club in Darwin, and Schlensog has returned following time spent with family in Geelong over the break.

Both players will provide a welcome boost leading into the season ahead, and we look forward to their contributions in the red and white at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.


Taylor, ironically, also hails from Geelong, however was recruited from Darwin where he has starred in the NTFL with St Mary’s. He is a lightly-built, hard-running wingman with great skills, and is certain to provide some pace and excitement across the ground.


Schlensog clocked up 20 games in his debut season for Souths in 2021, as a highly versatile option for the team, spending time in a key defensive role, whilst also kicking 16 goals up forward when required. His fine form was rewarded at our 2021 WJ Hughes Medal night when he accepted the Shearer Family Award for the Best First Year Player.
