Shave the Cookie Monster this Friday!

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

SOUTH Fremantle captain Ryan Cook’s beard has done some impressive growing throughout 2013 but now you could be the one to shave it off this Friday at the Gerry Bahen Classic at Fremantle Oval.

Cook has now been at South Fremantle for three years following his time in the AFL with Collingwood, and has been outstanding for the Bulldogs winning two WJ Hughes Medals as the club’s fairest and best as well as being captain the past two years.
He is fresh off winning his second Hughes Medal in 2013 and throughout the year he let his beard grow out, and now before Christmas someone will get the pleasure of shaving it off.
At Friday night’s Gerry Bahen Classic, a raffle will be held and the winner drawn will get the chance to shave off Cook’s beard in front of everyone in attendance.
Tickets for the raffle will be $5 each and all funds will go towards the 2014 players.
The Gerry Bahen Classic is a chance for all sponsors, members, supporters, family and friends to meet at Fremantle Oval this Friday night from 5pm onwards.
The event is named in honour of Gerry Bahen who sadly passed away in April last year and the special day named in his honour is held on the last training session of the year.
There will be a competition for the players, a sweep for our guests and you can enjoy a light Christmas supper.
So come down to South and enjoy this great occasion, in memory of this special man and celebrate the festive season.
