Author: South Fremantle Football Club

SFFC MEDIA RELEASE – FOOTBALL DEPARTMENT UPDATE

South Fremantle Football Club is excited to announce three (3) key new positions within its football department for 2019.

Senior Coach – Female Football

Jason Elliot has been appointed as Head Coach for the Senior Women’s program. Jason is new to the club after recently moving to Perth. He has an extensive playing career and has coached in both Victoria and Queensland and will be setting high standards and working hard to achieve individual and team success.

Youth Girl’s Head Coach

Adrian Ivancich will be continuing in the role of Youth Girls Head Coach. Adrian has a wealth of junior and youth coaching experience and led the girls to a Preliminary Final this season following on from a Grand Final appearance in 2017. Adrian has a genuine care for his players and they will all be looking to improve in 2019 with Adrian’s strong emphasis on development.

Football Operations

This season all female programs and staffing will be managed under the existing football department structure headed up by Football Operations Manager – David Depane. It is the continuation of the ‘One Club’ philosophy at South Fremantle Football Club and includes a newly developed role – Football Operations Manager – Female Football – which will be filled by Graeme Pratt. Graeme has an extensive background in sports administration and will be a great acquisition to our off-field team.

Announcements regarding assistant coaches, Committee appointments and key off field staff will follow as soon as appointments have been finalised

CEO – Tom Bottrell confirms that, “the steps are now in place for us to grow the female program in 2019 and beyond. There are now wonderful opportunities for young female athletes to follow a clear pathway into WAFL and AFL football that weren’t available previously. South Fremantle Football Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Jenna Allomes for her contribution to the Bulldogs and we are sure she will be back at The Kennel before too long. Jenna and Sally Allomes are the reason our female program is in place today so we thank them both and wish Jenna well for the safe arrival of new baby early in the new year”

The female senior and youth teams commenced training last night at Dick Lawrence Oval, Beaconsfield and will be there again from 5:30pm on Tuesday 18 and Thursday 20 December as a lead into Christmas. The teams are set to resume pre-season training in early in the new year.
