South Fremantle’s 2016 WAFL season will include three night fixtures – Round 1 against West Perth, Round 3 against East Perth and then in Round 18 against Subiaco on a Thursday night at Medibank Stadium.

The Bulldogs will host the traditional WA Day Foundation Derby in 2016 while also playing host to the final derby against East Fremantle in Round 19 on a Sunday morning allowing for the TV broadcast on Channel 7.

All in all, South Fremantle plays Swan Districts, East Perth, Perth and East Fremantle three times in 2016, and West Perth, Subiaco, Claremont and Peel Thunder twice.

In terms of television in 2016, South Fremantle games in Rounds 1, 6, 13, 16, 18 and 19 will be shown either on Channel 7 or 7mate. The broadcast schedule for Round 23 is yet to be decided.

Like last season, South Fremantle season starts with a night game against West Perth at Fremantle, this time on a Saturday night.

The Bulldogs then take on Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval for the first of two times in the opening 10 rounds the following Saturday.

South Fremantle then hosts East Perth in a Friday night game in Round 3 before two weeks on the road against Perth and East Fremantle.

It’s another home game against Subiaco in Round 7 before a clash with Claremont at the Showground and then a return to Bassendean against Swans.

South Fremantle has the Round 11 bye, then the WA Day clash with East Fremantle and another break for the state game against Tasmania at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday June 11.
