VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Author: South Fremantle Football Club
The South Fremantle Football Club recognises the great contributions our clubs and club volunteers make within our Metro and Country zones. Football clubs simply don’t exist without the countless hours put in by volunteers – from coaches and team managers to board members, canteen staff, and so many others working behind the scenes.
The Volunteer of the Month program is our way of shining a light on those individuals who go above and beyond in their roles within community football clubs aligned with SFFC.
This month, we are proud to recognise an outstanding contributor whose dedication has proven positive amongst his local football community.
July Volunteer of the Month: Nick Gorman – Mundijong Junior Football Club
Nick Gorman is the Female Coordinator and Coach at Mundijong JFC and is an outstanding example of the commitment and selflessness that makes community football clubs so special.
Nick is up early every game day, setting up the ovals and helping run Starkick and the girls’ teams, all while coaching his own 7/8 team. He has been a dedicated member of Mundijong Centrals Football Club for the past five years, giving countless hours to support the club, its players and their families.
His commitment extends well beyond game days. Nick is always the first to put his hand up to help, no matter the task, and regularly gives his time both on and off the field. Whether it’s helping with junior programs, supporting other teams or simply getting stuck into whatever needs to be done.
His willingness to give back has made him a highly valued and respected member of the club community. Over the past five years, he has built strong friendships, supported countless young players and earned the admiration of those around him.
Nick’s passion, generosity and unwavering commitment make him incredibly deserving of recognition, so we congratulate him on being made Volunteer of the Month for July!
