South Fremantle Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of former President, Life Member and Hall of Famer, Mr. Terry Dean.
Terry was a devoted Souths man, committed to the club and its’ on and off field success over many decades.
Terry earnt Life Membership in 1991, and was a long-term contributor and Board Member, including holding the position of Club President between 1997 and 2008, succeeding Ric Gloede and preceding Hadyn Raitt.
Among many achievements, some of Terry’s fondest memories included the 1997 & 2005 WAFL Premierships he presided over, along with a talent pathway that was widely regarded for the many Souths players drafted into the AFL.
In 2015 Terry was inducted into the Club’s Hall of Fame (Officials), acknowledging his significant service to South Fremantle and his leadership and governance of the Club.
The proud Bulldog ethos, ‘The Premier Family Club’, has direct origins to Terry Dean and his vision for a South Fremantle that was inclusive, welcoming and a place for everyone.
South Fremantle Football Club offers its condolences to all members of the Dean family at this sad time.
