Host families required for young Bulldogs

Author: South Fremantle Football Club

Dear Members and Supporters,

Each year, South Fremantle Football Club endeavours to recruit new players via our vast network across Australia. The majority are young men aged between 18 and 22 and can relocate to Perth from all over Australia.

As a club we recognise the need to provide high quality accommodation to our young men in their first year of playing at the elite level and for their long-term development as responsible adults.

Families come in all different forms and what is appropriate for one player may be different for another. In the past, successful host family arrangements have included families with children (older and younger), single people, single parents or older couples.

The most important factors when assessing your suitability are:
– Player having their own bedroom
– Comfortable facilities in your home
– Home is located within relatively close distance to the South Fremantle Football Club
– Willingness to embrace the player as part of the family
– Recognise that the player has strict training, dietary, and competition demands

If you, or someone you know, has a room to rent or short term placements with a family, please speak with Football Operations Manager, David Depane, as we would love to be able to work with you to assist a young Bulldog player’s development.
