SOCK IT TO SARCOMA ROUND WRAP UP

South Fremantle Football Club is proud to share that $2,200 was raised during Sunday’s Sock It To Sarcoma Round, with the football community coming together to support an important cause and honour those affected by sarcoma.

The Round 16 clash against East Perth was about much more than the result on the field. It was an opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate the strength of those impacted by sarcoma and demonstrate the power of football to make a genuine difference.

A special thank you goes to the John Family, who generously matched South Fremantle’s $100 donation for every goal kicked, helping increase the total funds raised and the impact of the day.

South Fremantle would also like to thank East Perth Football Club for embracing the occasion and helping make the round such a meaningful celebration of community, remembrance and support.

As part of the initiative, every player took to the field wearing Sock It To Sarcoma socks, while the Bulldogs donated $100 for every goal scored by both teams throughout the Round 16 fixture.

The round holds particular significance for South Fremantle, as the club continues to honour the memory of former Bulldog Olivia Hunt, whose courage and legacy continue to inspire the football community. Liv’s lasting impact lives on through initiatives such as the annual Liv Hunt Award, presented at the South Fremantle WAFLW Best and Fairest each season.

Sunday was a reminder that football has the ability to bring people together for causes far greater than the game itself. To everyone who donated, attended, supported and helped make the day possible, thank you for playing your part in raising awareness and supporting those affected by sarcoma.
