South Fremantle Annual Report and Year Book 2016
THE South Fremantle Football Club has released its Annual Report and Year Book for 2016 in conjunction with last week's Annual General Meeting including a full wrap on and off the field from the past 12 months at the Bulldogs.
The Annual Report and Year Book is a source of pride for South Fremantle as the club endeavours to provide its members with the best, most informative and thorough publication of its type in the WAFL.
Following a 2016 season that saw all three grades at South Fremantle qualify for the finals, there was plenty to reflect on as well in what must be deemed a successful and vastly improved season on the field for the Bulldogs.
The Annual Report and Year Book also announced the club's financial position at the end of 2016. While the slight loss of $12,197 following a profit of $20,894 in 2015 wasn’t the result South Fremantle was after, the positive trend of the recent years and heading into 2017 and beyond remains positive.
Outgoing CEO Stuart Kemp has done a tremendous job the past four years. When he arrived the club was precariously placed off the field and had to virtually start from scratch in moving to the modern era. Kemp's four years at the helm without question have put South Fremantle in a positive to grow and develop further moving forward.
The Annual Report and Year Book not only features a full summary of the past 12 months from Kemp and treasurer Sal Capolingua, but also from president Haydn Raitt, bar/functions manager Darren Winnett and Past Players & Officials president Ray Van Burgel also provided a rundown of off-field activities at the Bulldogs.
League coach Todd Curley, captain Ryan Cook, colts coach Mark Foster, football operations manager David Depane and talent manager Jason Pedulla also gave a rundown of happenings on-field with South Fremantle throughout 2016.
There is plenty more content for Bulldogs members and supporters.
That includes a full summary of results from 2016 and a wrap of each round along with all the league, reserves and colts award winners, and a look at the milestone men of the season, the debutants, the state representatives and those who had a big impact upon return or being recruited.
Other features include a look at Maurice Rioli entering the Australian Football Hall of Fame while history is well documented with full statistical records along with all the club's centurions, premiership players, life members, life time members and more.
There is plenty of photos as well including from the trip to Carnarvon, WJ Hughes Medal night, Red Cap Day and all the best action shots from a memorable season on the field.
It's a publication that anyone associated with South Fremantle should check out.
