ASSISTANT ANALYST

The Opportunity 

The South Fremantle Football Club are seeking an Assistant Analyst, who will work closely with the Performance Analyst, Colts Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Talent Manager and support staff to lead and drive the creation of a positive learning, wellbeing, and growth environment with a focus on player growth and development where the WAFL players can then develop and thrive as footballers and people. 

In this role you will also be responsible for the collaborative development of a strong performance culture where team values are respected and consistently met by the Playing Group, as well as the development and implementation of the coaching panel, football program and match day coaching strategy. 

This role involves game day responsibility for a suitable candidate who is eager and keen to use analytical and statistical software to enhance the coaching and teaching processes for the WAFL men’s program. Strong interest is needed for the candidate who is passionate about Australian Football, high performance data analytics and video analysis of game day.

Full training will be provided for the HUDL suit (SportsCode, Hudl, Hudl Coda) and Champion Data.

What We’re Looking For 

• An individual with technical knowhow with both Windows and MacOS operating systems
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to uphold a professional environment during competitive matches
• Personal skills to effectively communicate with coaching staff, support staff and athletes alike
• Coordinate the delivery and ongoing application of performance analysis technologies to monitor Colts and Reserves games
• Support coaching processes – including vision (filming, coding, video library and database management).
• Assist in highlights/milestone/motivational editing where required.
• Preparation of vision using analysis software such as Sportscode and Hudl
• Assist in the capture/delivery of game day statistics provided by Champion Data
• Contribute to ongoing development of in-house data management systems
• Provide matchday support including the setting up of and providing real-time feedback of information to coaches
