Match Preview - Senior Girls Pushing for Top Two!
THIS Sunday's home game against West Perth is a massive game for the club. If our Senior girls can come away with a win on the weekend we will finish second in the home and away season and give ourselves a second chance if required in the finals.
It is great that our Rogers Cup side are sitting on the top of ladder and it has been great watching the exciting junior talent run around and I can't wait to see them competing top level in the seniors next year.
West Perth are finishing the season strong and are coming off some really close games with Claremont and Subiaco, which will make this weekend very exciting to watch.
Our girls have been working hard all season to build a positive and strong culture among the playing group, along with structures and set plays that they have not played with in the past. It would be great to see all the hard work pay off for the girls and the club in the coming weeks.
A player to watch this weekend will be Olivia (Livy) Hunt, who has progressively been improving every week coming back from an injury plagued start to the season. Livy is finding some great form at the right time and is a key focal point up forward, looking forward to seeing her stamping her authority throughout the game and kicking some through the big sticks this weekend.
Olivia will also be turning 21 this Friday, Happy Birthday Livy.
Jennelle (Miley) Heard will be celebrating her 150th game for the club, which is a great achievement. Jenelle has been a great asset to South Fremantle over the years and is really assisting the club moving forward with her leadership on and off the field and has really stood up in the role of vice-captain this season.
We would like to congratulate you Miley on a great career so far and wish you all the best for your 150th and your many games to come.
