MINJEE LEE A BULLDOG ROLE MODEL
South Fremantle Football Club is proud to welcome golfing superstar Minjee Lee to the Bulldogs as an Honorary Club Member and Female Sport Role Model.
Lee, a proud West Australian from Royal Fremantle Golf Club, is an inspiration to many, having taken Australian and global golf by storm in a stunning career to-date.
The two-time Olympian and LPGA star has achieved 6 career Tour victories, including a Major at the 2021 Amundi Evian Championship.
South Fremantle, recognised as ‘The Premier Family Club’, has significantly increased its’ focus and investment in Female Football in recent years, working hard to offer an inclusive football setting that creates sporting opportunities for all.
CEO Cameron Britt welcomes Minjee Lee to the Club and acknowledges her position as a high-profile female at the top of her game.
“Our Club has established connections with Minjee, and the Royal Fremantle Golf Club, so when the opportunity arose to welcome her to our Footy Club as an Honorary Member, we couldn’t resist” Britt said.
“Minjee is a remarkable athlete, an international sporting identity who has worked tirelessly to reach great performance heights. We see real alignment between her values and those of our Club, as we continue to grow and enhance our commitment to Female sport and our own hard-working athletes” Britt concluded.
Lee met with Rogers Cup Head Coach Andrew McCarrey and South Fremantle Club CEO Cameron Britt at Royal Fremantle Golf Course.
Lee heads back overseas on Tour shortly, where she will be keeping up with progress of our Women’s football program. In turn, Bulldogs fans will be closely following her success on the best fairways across the world.
