MANAGER, MALE FOOTBALL - APPOINTED
South Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Burke as our new Manager, Male Football.
Charlie comes to the Bulldogs from the Peel Thunder Football Club, whereby he has performed the role of Talent Manager, with strong associations and interactions with the Thunder senior football program.
Charlie’s skills, interests and attributes extend to high-performance program management, sports administration , staff management and player/coach leadership.
With an extensive sports (cricket) background, former roles have included APAC Regional Officer with the ICC, Coach & Talent Manager at Queensland Cricket & Head Coach of Hong Kong (including coaching an ICC T20 World Cup, notching a victory against Test-nation Bangladesh).
He is also principal of his own sports leadership consultancy, supporting athletes in leadership development & personal growth.
Charlie is excited to join South Fremantle and continue his blossoming career in the WAFL.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with the players, staff, and stakeholders as well as building strong relationships across the entire football department. One thing that really stood out to me is the club’s values around family, community, and inclusiveness and I cannot wait to commence in the role”.
“My experiences in high performance environments and athlete/coach development are areas that I really feel I can add value and ensure we get the best out of every individual involved at the Bulldogs” Burke said.
Charlie commences on Monday October 10.
