REGIONAL TALENT SHOWCASE
Gascoyne vs Pilbara Regional WAFL Talent Showcase – South Fremantle vs Swan Districts
Last weekend Exmouth hosted talent games for boys and girls at Talanjee Oval between representative teams from the Gascoyne (South Fremantle FC) and Pilbara (Swan Districts FC) regions.
The Gascoyne team travelled up from Carnarvon and met their team mates at the oval before heading down to the beach for a team bonding session lead by coach Tony Micale.
All teams then congregated at Exmouth Football Club and sat down with their respective talent managers for a talent pathway education session before preparation began for the girls game.
The girls played in a tough contest, with the Gascoyne team eventualy coming out on top, in a free flowing and high scoring game.
As the sun went down the boys came on for a game under lights, and it was the Pilbara team who were far too strong for the Gascoyne Bulldogs boys. In windy conditions the Pilbara boys piled on goals in what was a very impressive performance.
There was lots of talent on show from both sides, and hopefully we will see some Gascoyne players running around in the red and white soon!
Finally a big thanks to Exmouth Football Club for hosting us and the Stephen Michael Foundation for organising the event.
