WAFLW AWARDS 2023
The annual WAFLW Awards were held on the 10th of July with a big South Fremantle representative.
The Awards night took place at The Astral Ballroom at Crown with 10 of our WAFLW and Rogers girls being nominees.
It was a great evening to celebrate the players and all their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
The Rogers Cup girls are straight into preparation for the upcoming Grand Final against undefeated West Perth.
Of the 6 awards presented on the night, 2 of them were won by South Fremantle players and staff- an outstanding achievement.
Nicole Taylor-Thorpe won the Leading Goal Kicker for Rogers Cup with 19 goals!
Coach Craig McNaughton was presented with the WAFLW Coach of the Year award- a well-deserved achievement after his performance this year.
Our WAFLW and Rogers Cup girls were also tallying high in the votes! Key Ruck Ariana Hetherington from the WAFLW side finished up the season in the Top 10 with 11 votes. Rosie Anderson also came in with 17 votes in the Charmaine Rogers Fairest and Best.
Massive Congratulations to Nicole and Craig as well as all nominees. An outstanding season!
