COMMUNITY WEEK 2024
Last week saw the opportunity for our players to go out and visit our Junior Community Clubs within the South Fremantle District. Many excited kids as they got to participate in drills with their WAFL inspirations. Some sessions even saw the kids have posters, footys, t-shirts, boots, and much more signed by our players.
The students were aged from Pre-Auskick to Year 12. Some players visited the community clubs they came from, and were able to share how they ended up at the Bulldogs! The kids were very grateful and looked up to our players in hopes of becoming a Bulldog too.
We had our Senior Mens side, as well as our WAFLW side participate in this initiative.
Talent Manger, Daniel Marie Said "Our community clubs put in a huge amount of work in developing future South Fremantle Footballers, so it's great for us to be able to give back and connect with the clubs where it all started. It's valuable for the kids currently playing junior footy to see the pathway firsthand and that they can one day be a WAFL or WAFLW player for South Fremantle."
This is our second year organising such a week, that we hope to continue for years upcoming. It is one our staff, players, and district clubs all love being involved with and eagerly look forward to.
It is a special week in making sure the inspiration and dreams are within reach for our next generation of footballers.
A big thank you to Jandakot, Bibra Lake, Kardinya, Kwinana, Mundijong, Roleystone, Fremantle City, Kelmscott, South Coogee, Boddington and Narrogin for hosting our players and staff.
And also, to our Players and Staff for visiting the clubs.
