THANK YOU, CRAIG McNAUGHTON

Monday, June 17, 2024 - 2:45 PM

Craig McNaughton has advised South Fremantle Football Club that he will not continue as WAFLW Head Coach in 2025.

McNaughton led the WAFLW program across 2022-2024, coaching the Bulldogs to an inaugural win (2022), first Women's finals series (2023), and in doing so, was recognised as the WAFLW Coach of the Year (2023). Prior to this, he was a successful Rogers Cup Coach, guiding the team to a Grand Final appearance (2021).

Manager, Female Football and Administration Sean Pollard thanks Craig for his commitment to the Club, and for his dedication to supporting the growth of female football.

"Craig informed the Club earlier in the season that this would be his last year coaching and we are thankful for his ongoing commitment to the players for the balance of 2024".

"Craig has worked hard from Rogers Cup through to WAFLW, making a lasting impact on both our playing group and program, courtesy of the great relationships he formed".

"His efforts will continue to hold us in good stead as we commit to further developing female football at South Fremantle".

"All at the Bulldogs wish Craig the best in his future endeavours," said Pollard.

Activities have commenced to identify a new WAFLW Head Coach, with the role to be advertised later this week.
