Gala Auction Gathering
The club hosted one of its Marquee events for the year on Saturday 3rd August with the annual Gala Auction providing everybody who went a very enjoyable evening.
After a great day of football with Colts, Reserves and League sealing great wins away against Subiaco, South Fremantle fans, friends, players and staff enjoyed an exciting night of festivities including some great auction items, plenty of laughs and some groovy music from our resident DJ Darren.
The night was hosted by David Shortte as MC and Tiny Holly as auctioneer. These guys are true professionals and ensured the evening ran smoothly while providing the crowd with plenty of jokes and entertainment. Numero Uno again presented a tasty meal for the 250 strong crowd in the Griff John room which was decorated with a red and white theme.
More than 150 items were sold in the main, silent and memorabilia auctions. The funds raised will be directed towards the club’s football and indigenous development programs and will provide the Bulldogs with a much help in financial resources for these programs.
Our sincere thanks must go to the fantastic team of staff and volunteers who pulled everything together, with a special mention to Sue Gurney who not only spent the day recording match statistics, but then backed up by spending the evening assisting with the event.
Our next event will be the Bulldogs Golf Day on Friday, 13th September, to be played at the magnificent Royal Fremantle Golf Club. Hurry and call the office if you want to book your team 9335 1555, ask for Michelle.
