SOUTH Fremantle Football club acknowledged the contributions of their volunteers at a special BBQ award presentation on Wednesday 21 August.
More than 50 people joined President Haydn Raitt, CEO Stuart Kemp, coaching staff and board members to acknowledge some of the hard-working members of the South Fremantle community.
Volunteer of the Year awards were presented in the categories of Colts, Reserves, League and Functions/House and Bar Area. Winners were:

THE South Fremantle’s colts kicked off what turned out to be a great day for the club with a dominant display early Sunday at Mandurah's Bendigo Bank Stadium.

IN JANUARY 2006, after finishing 12 years of schooling and the obligatory celebrations that follow, I found myself at my first day of pre-season for the South Fremantle Football Club. Seven and a bit years later I’ve been asked to share what has gone on between now and then.
PEEL Thunder and South Fremantle might not have a finals spot on the line when the two meet at Mandurah's Bendigo Bank Stadium on Sunday, but both will be desperate to win to try and avoid a wooden spoon.
SOUTH Fremantle entered last week's bye in winning form after more youngsters continued to stand up while veteran Kris Miller was in top form and Ben Saunders was back kicking goals, and now coach Paul Hasleby hopes it continues.
REIGNING Bernie Naylor Medallist Ben Saunders is just starting to strike form after a horror injury run in 2013 but is focused on helping South Fremantle finish off the season strongly over the final three weeks.
THERE are a lot of things you have to weigh up when deciding to continue playing on next year or not and you can change your mind weekly or daily at this point of the season.
The club hosted one of its Marquee events for the year on Saturday 3rd August with the annual Gala Auction providing everybody who went a very enjoyable evening.
After a great day of football with Colts, Reserves and League sealing great wins away against Subiaco, South Fremantle fans, friends, players and staff enjoyed an exciting night of festivities including some great auction items, plenty of laughs and some groovy music from our resident DJ Darren.
