Googs' Gabble – Adam Guglielmana column April 24

THE reason I play football is the first few hours after a good win, or even a bad win, if there is such a thing!

You get an opportunity to sit around with your best mates knowing you’ve all worked hard and achieved a common goal. The supporters, coaching staff and players are always much happier after a win, and you don’t feel so bad having a few beers to 'reward' yourself. It’s safe to Read More [+]

SOUTH Fremantle started strongly but couldn’t keep it going against Subiaco at Fremantle Oval on Saturday with full focus now turned to the ANZAC Day derby this Thursday.

The Bulldogs came out looking terrific in the first quarter kicking four of the first five goals of the game to lead by 17 points late in the opening term, but Subiaco got on top after that to run out 16.17 (113) to 10.12 (72) winners.

Chewin' the Fat – Kris Miller column April 18

Thursday, April 18, 2013 - 5:43 PM

EARLY last week it was strange knowing that I was about to miss my first game since joining South Fremantle and the team was preparing for a game I wouldn’t be playing, but as the week went on I started thinking of the benefits of having a forced week off.

I would never have taken a week off myself, but having it forced upon me might help me with a few little issues that I've Read More [+]

Colts Report - Round 5

Monday, April 15, 2013 - 9:53 AM

SOUTH Fremantle's colts game at Bassendean was a close affair on the weekend with the result going down to the wire. Luckily the result fell the Bulldogs way and we remain in touch with the top sides and continue to show good signs.

With the talented Swans midfielders controlling the centre breaks it was left to the Souths backline to repel numerous forward thrusts. Mitch Banks and Jacob Dragovich along with best on ground Bradd Read More [+]
