IT turned out to be quite the eventful and memorable year in 2020 for the South Fremantle Football Club and it is all encapsulated in the Annual Report and Year Book replaced at the Annual General Meeting.
The club's AGM for 2020 was held at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Monday December 8 where not only were the premierships won by the WAFL league and Rogers Cup Youth Girls teams, but an encouraging financial result was also revealed.
It is well documented the challenges that 2020 provided and that included the WAFL season being significantly shortened and not starting until July 18. But by the end of the year, the South Fremantle Football Club was delighted to announce a full-year cash profit result of $454,425.

THERE was more history made by the South Fremantle Football Club in Women's Football in 2020 as the Bulldogs entered the WAFL Women's competition and the Youth Girls claimed the Rogers Cup premiership.
All that was celebrated at the Allomes Medal Awards night held on Friday night at Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges in conjunction with the WJ Hughes Medal night, and it proved a tremendous occasion highlighting the growth of female football at the Bulldogs.
By the end of the evening, it was South Fremantle's WAFLW captain Lauren Vecchio who was once again honoured.

THE brilliant 2020 WAFL season for South Fremantle was celebrated at the WJ Hughes Medal night at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle on Friday night and it was a popular first-time winner named fairest and best for the Bulldogs to cap off proceedings.
It might have been a delayed start to the 2020 season thanks to the implications of the Coronavirus pandemic, but once things got up and running on Saturday July 18, South Fremantle quickly emerged as the team to beat in the competition.
The Bulldogs would go on to finish the nine-week home and away season on top of the ladder to claim the minor premiership and then despite a hiccup in the second semi-final, they would beat Claremont in a remarkable Grand Final at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.
